Job Duties

  • Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests
  • prepare product for sale including icing, decorating, pricing, packaging and labeling
  • maintain product level, quality and freshness
  • perform bakery clerk functions when requested
  • maintain sanitation standards in cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area
  • properly clean work area, couplers and decorating bags
  • maintain organization of freezer including proper product rotation
  • communicate guest requests to management
  • communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor
  • keep supply area neat, clean and tidy
  • properly rotate icings and scrape down buckets
  • use cake manual as reference
  • write on cakes
  • properly mix colors according to color chart
  • master the use of the airbrush
  • use cake production sheet
  • achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the cake section
  • perform all other duties assigned by management
  • perform Front Porch duties to ensure guest arrival standard is maintained
  • announce specials and sale info on PA system
  • assist in product receiving and storage
