Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior bakery experience preferred
- Ability to handle food safely
- Capability to follow detailed instructions
- Good communication skills
- Physical ability to operate bakery equipment
- Ability to work varied shifts including mornings and days
Job Qualifications
- 0-2 years prior experience in a bakery setting
- Cake decorating experience strongly preferred
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports
- Ability to speak affably and perform basic math
- Possess basic computer skills
- Regular vision
Job Duties
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service
- Ensure cakes are decorated and ready for customers to purchase or pick up
- Take direction and adhere to strict food preparation guidelines
- Properly handle and store equipment at all times
- Clean the decorating area before and after use
- Answer customers' questions about cake options
- Take cake orders as needed
