  • Proven experience in creating custom cake designs

Job Duties

  • Prepare and decorate cakes and other baked goods according to customer specifications or established designs, including custom cakes, wedding cakes, and specialty desserts
  • Execute advanced decorating techniques, such as fondant work, piping intricate designs, creating sugar flowers, and airbrushing
  • Understand and utilize various icing types, fillings, and cake decorating tools and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Collaborate with bakery team members to fulfill customer orders and maintain efficient workflow
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and production schedules
  • Provide guidance and support to Cake Decorator Level 1 team members as needed
  • Stay current on cake decorating trends and techniques through research and training
  • Maintain inventory of decorating supplies and inform management of any shortages
  • Assist with other bakery tasks as required, such as baking, prepping ingredients, and packaging finished products
