Job Duties
- Be a team member by collaborating with cross-functional teams and educating associates on tools, tasks, and resources
- communicate and develop interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service
- maintain in-stock levels and control shrinkage
- Be an expert by planning bakery productions ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs
- follow recipe measurements
- work with decorating tools like bags, tips, and nozzles to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items
- adhere to food safety standards, sanitation, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
- operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment
- demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution
- Be a techie by leveraging digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement
- use hand-held technology for decisions on production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind
- adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them
- Be an owner by driving bakery area performance, ensuring quality and date control standards, eliminating waste, preparing for seasonal events impacting bakery volume
