Job Requirements
- Six months’ experience in fresh production area
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Successful completion of all job required trainings and assessments
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of experience in fresh production area required
- Experience in cake decorating preferred
- Ability to use decorating bags, tips, and nozzles to complete designs
- Strong attention to detail and artistic skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members
Job Duties
- Cleans and maintains the bakery area including work surfaces, windows, mirrors, display cases, and coolers
- Operates and sanitizes food-related equipment
- Stocks and displays bakery food products properly
- Utilizes approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment
- Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, and pricing merchandise appropriately
- Prepares bakery merchandise based on daily production needs
- Operates bakery equipment following recipe measurement instructions
- Utilizes specialized decorating skills to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items according to approved designs
- Follows members’ orders and specifications using appropriate designs, colors, and utensils
- Properly wraps, labels, and stores merchandise
- Provides member service by acknowledging members, assisting with purchasing decisions, taking bakery orders in person or by phone, locating merchandise, and resolving issues
- Maintains safety by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines
- Manages production to ensure members' orders are delivered on time
- Maintains the sales floor by handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages
