Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it
Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
Adherence to all Winn-Dixie policies and procedures
Ability to understand and follow English instructions
Willingness to work varied shifts
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Ability to operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
0-3 years of relevant experience
Strong customer service skills
Ability to use bakery equipment including slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and pricing guns
Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain within 180 days
Proficiency with computer applications used in bakery operations
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle stressful situations

Job Duties

Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated
Merchandise the department according to company plans
Deliver daily conditions meeting company standards for freshness, quality, and value
Offer product samples and customer assistance
Decorate cakes and bakery items per customer request
Process and bake merchandise following production guidelines
Stock and rotate products to maintain freshness and date control
Operate bakery equipment according to guidelines
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area
Receive and store deliveries
Promote teamwork and communicate department information
Ensure compliance with food safety and company safety standards
