Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
  • ability to work flexible schedule including evenings early mornings weekends and holidays as needed
  • adaptable to different situations and able to respond with flexibility to shifting priorities and rapid change
  • ability to interpret understand and follow instructions
  • capable of moving lifting carrying and placing merchandise and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • frequently reach overhead and below knees including pushing pulling squatting kneeling bending stooping crouching and twisting with or without bearing weight
  • occasionally required to climb
  • perform continuous repetitive motion with hands and arms such as grasping gripping and turning
  • stand or walk continuously throughout shift
  • visually locate merchandise and verify information often in small print
  • may be exposed to all weather conditions including hot cold rain snow ice and wind as well as indoor variations in heat cold dust and humidity
  • may be exposed to cleaning solvents or other chemicals
  • may be exposed to latex eggs nuts soy and wheat
  • employment may be contingent upon completion of a PEP survey drug screen employment reference check and criminal background check

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
  • ability to work flexible schedule including evenings early mornings weekends and holidays
  • strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • basic knowledge of food safety procedures
  • ability to operate bakery equipment safely
  • good communication and problem solving abilities

Job Duties

  • support bakery department operations including preparedness staffing price maintenance policies and procedures inventory preparation financial goals and objectives department cleanliness and safe equipment use
  • support bakery department replenishment and inventory processes including ordering replenishment receiving invoicing accounting back stock reclamation returns damages reworks supply use and inventory preparation
  • support merchandising and sales floor standards through proper stocking rotation signing display settings sampling and zoning procedures
  • adhere to equipment procedures including cleaning and maintenance requirements
  • follow all company and food safety guidelines for fresh food production processing packaging weighing pricing and labeling
  • maintain department cleaning standards using approved equipment and chemicals
  • define issues and use critical thinking skills to resolve problems effectively
