High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One to two years of experience in decorating
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodation
Good communication skills
Ability to follow company approved recipes
Compliance with safety rules including use of personal protective equipment

Job Duties

Keeps bakery department well stocked and appealing to meet customer demand
Smiles and greets customers and answers questions about bakery products
Takes customer orders over the phone or in person with a positive attitude
Decorates cakes and bakery products using company approved recipes and custom designs
Trims and cuts cakes to required shape and size
Assists in filling and merchandising bakery sales area and follows product rotation policies
Maintains general sanitation and cleanliness in the bakery department
Uses personal protective equipment properly and follows safety guidelines
Cooperates with co-workers and supervisors to ensure smooth department function
Assists with receiving and storing deliveries and other store duties as trained
