Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
Ability to understand and follow English instructions
Ability to operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines
Strong customer service skills
Knowledge of basic math
Ability to handle stressful situations
Proficient with computer applications used in the department
Possession of Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain within 180 days
Compliance with all company policies and procedures
Ability to travel for floater role if applicable

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
Strong customer service skills
Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
Knowledge of basic math
Ability to handle stressful situations
Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters and pricing guns
Proficiency with computer applications used in the department
Possession of Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain within 180 days
Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
Authorization to work in the United States
Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check

Job Duties

Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated
Ensure the department is merchandised per plan
Deliver daily conditions that meet company expectations for product availability, freshness, quality and value
Offer product samples and answer customer questions
Ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
Decorate merchandise per customer request ensuring satisfaction
Use decoration kits and freehand decorating skills to prepare quality baked goods
Complete daily and weekly tasks including communications and online training
Process and bake merchandise according to production guidelines
Proof products to ensure quality assurance
Review product quality and take necessary action
Check production schedule for variety and quantity to bake
Receive and unload delivery trucks
Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness and date control
Restock and use supplies efficiently to eliminate waste
Maintain inventory awareness and report discrepancies
Ensure product is held at proper temperature and retain documentation
Promote trust and respect among associates
Guide and empower the team to meet goals
Adhere to local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
Ensure safety, proper food handling, sanitation and productivity standards are maintained
Execute product recalls and withdrawals timely
Report safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities
Ensure adherence to wage and hour policies
Cultivate a culture of safety
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
