Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in cake decorating
- ability to work in a fast-paced operation and stand for long periods
- food handler's card
- ability to demonstrate painting skills such as borders, roses, piping techniques
- excellent personal grooming and professional appearance
- strong judgment, integrity, and honesty
- ability to accept direction and follow through on responsibilities
- capable of working independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience within the cake/dessert decorating business
- ability to use many different mediums including Butter Cream and Pastry Pride
- familiar with dozens of different decorating tips and have an eye for artistic detail
- excellent time management skills
- effective communication skills to work with guests and take their cake orders
- food handler's card
Job Duties
- Deliver outstanding hospitality and customer service
- take cake orders and make cakes for guests' special orders and cakes made ahead and ready for pickup
- ensure consistent standards are met while creating a beautiful edible piece of art
- use of creative skills to grow and build a successful cake business catering to the needs of the guests
- drive sales and profitability through uncompromising execution, quality, and service
