Job Requirements
- Minimum six months experience in fresh production area
- must be 18 years of age or older
- ability to complete all required job training and assessments within prescribed time
- authorization to work in the U.S.
- willingness to comply with company drug-free policy
- availability to work flexible hours including holidays and seasonal demands
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- six months experience in fresh production area
- knowledge of cake decorating techniques preferred
- ability to follow recipe measurements and baking instructions
- basic understanding of food safety and sanitation
- skills in operating bakery equipment
- experience using digital tools and handheld technology preferred
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- customer service orientation
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Collaborate with cross functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources
- communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service
- be flexible to the needs of the business
- maintain in-stock levels
- control shrinkage
- plan bakery productions ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs
- follow recipe measurement instructions
- work with a variety of decorating products
- ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and cold chain compliance
- operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment
- leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve shopping experience
- utilize handheld technology for production decisions, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality
- drive performance of bakery area ensuring quality and date control standards
- eliminate waste
- prepare for seasonal events impacting bakery volume
- identify member needs and assist in purchasing decisions
- resolve member issues and concerns
- be a brand advocate valuing the member's experience
- interact with associates to address roadblocks and assist in training
- develop, influence and inspire team members
- comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards
- complete work assignments by using policies, data, resources and collaborating with managers and co-workers
- identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations
- communicate progress and recommend improvements
- adapt to and learn from change and feedback
