Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 6 months experience in fresh production area
- ability to complete required trainings and assessments within prescribed time
- willingness to follow company policies and procedures
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- physical capability to perform bakery production tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 6 months experience in fresh production area required
- previous experience in cake decorating preferred
- strong customer service skills
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
- basic proficiency with digital tools and technology
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- attention to detail in decorative design and production
Job Duties
- Be a team member by collaborating with cross functional teams and educating other associates on tools, tasks, and resources
- communicate and develop interpersonal skills for customer service
- be flexible to business needs
- maintain in-stock levels
- control shrinkage
- Plan bakery productions ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs
- follow recipe measurement instructions
- work with decorating tools like bags, tips, and nozzles to create decorative flowers and lettering
- adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
- operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment
- demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement
- use handheld technology for business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality
- adapt to and encourage use of new tools
- Drive bakery area performance by ensuring quality and date control standards
- eliminate waste
- prepare for seasonal events impacting bakery volume
- identify member needs
- assist with purchasing decisions
- resolve member issues and concerns
- Act as a talent ambassador by advocating brand values, modeling high quality service and products
- assist in training and development of associates
