Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • 6 months experience in fresh production area
  • ability to complete required trainings and assessments within prescribed time
  • willingness to follow company policies and procedures
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical capability to perform bakery production tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months experience in fresh production area required
  • previous experience in cake decorating preferred
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
  • basic proficiency with digital tools and technology
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • attention to detail in decorative design and production

Job Duties

  • Be a team member by collaborating with cross functional teams and educating other associates on tools, tasks, and resources
  • communicate and develop interpersonal skills for customer service
  • be flexible to business needs
  • maintain in-stock levels
  • control shrinkage
  • Plan bakery productions ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs
  • follow recipe measurement instructions
  • work with decorating tools like bags, tips, and nozzles to create decorative flowers and lettering
  • adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
  • operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment
  • demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement
  • use handheld technology for business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality
  • adapt to and encourage use of new tools
  • Drive bakery area performance by ensuring quality and date control standards
  • eliminate waste
  • prepare for seasonal events impacting bakery volume
  • identify member needs
  • assist with purchasing decisions
  • resolve member issues and concerns
  • Act as a talent ambassador by advocating brand values, modeling high quality service and products
