Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year of pastry and/or cake decorating experience preferred
- Current Food Handler's Permit
- Ability to read and follow a recipe
- Basic math skills used to half or double recipes
- Knowledge of baking, setting, and assembling procedures and times for pastries
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- Solid communication skills
- Ability to accept constructive review
- Ability to make logical, significant decisions
- Integrity and positive attitude
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays

Job Duties
- Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
- Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the bakery provides
- Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the bakery
- Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
- Ensures the bakery is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance
- Delivers excellent customer service to all customers
- Follows production sheets to ensure appropriate inventory levels of Harmons' cakes
- Mixes, bakes, assembles, and decorates cakes for sale and to keep as back-stock, quickly and efficiently
- Decorates cakes for sale and for custom orders
- Make frosting to be used for cake decorating
- Communicates openly and frequently with Store Director and Bakery Manager
