Job Requirements
- Minimum six months experience in fresh production area
- must be 18 years of age or older
- ability to successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period
- willingness to comply with company policies and procedures including safety and ethics
- ability to work collaboratively with team members and members
- flexibility to adapt to business needs
- physical ability to operate bakery equipment and maintain sanitation
- adherence to food safety standards
- capacity to work seasonal hours or events as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in cake decorating preferred
- skilled in using decorating tools such as bags, tips, and nozzles
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to use handheld technology for business decision-making
- strong teamwork and communication skills
- ability to manage inventory and control shrinkage
- experience with quality control and date management in bakery products
- customer service orientation and ability to resolve member issues
- ability to train and mentor other associates
- adaptability to new tools and processes
Job Duties
- Collaborates with cross functional teams and helps educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources
- plans the bakery productions ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs
- follows recipe measurement instructions
- works with a variety of products such as decorating bags, tips, and nozzles to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items
- ensures adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
- operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment
- leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement
- utilizes handheld technology to make business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality
- drives performance of the bakery area ensuring quality and date control standards
- eliminates waste
- prepares for seasonal events impacting bakery volume
- identifies member needs and assists with purchasing decisions
- resolves member issues and concerns
- acts as a brand advocate by valuing the member's experience and modeling high quality service and products
- interacts with associates to understand roadblocks and assists in training
- develops, influences, and inspires a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented work environment
- complies with company policies, procedures, and ethics
- completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources while collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners
