Job Requirements
- High school graduate or GED
- Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Read and understand instructions and compare similarities and differences between words and numbers
- Speak clearly and effectively convey information
- Lift items up to 40 pounds multiple times a day
- Stand for 95-100% of the workday
- Wear slip-resistant shoes
- Physical dexterity to bend, lift, fold boxes, stack, clean, and open heavy doors
- Physical strength and dexterity to fill pastry bags and ice cakes for long periods
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to detailed instructions
- Capable of performing basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions effectively
- Clear communication skills
- Passion for cake decorating
- RBA certification preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Decorate cakes to Graeter's standard including floral arrangements and airbrushing
- Create beautiful and precise cake decorations with excellent handwriting
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Maintain speed, accuracy, and attention to detail while decorating
- Handle, lift, and move icing buckets, boxes, sheet pans, and trash
- Stand for the majority of the workday with occasional walking
- Use physical dexterity and strength to fill pastry bags, spatulate cakes, and manage supplies
