Job Requirements

- ability to regularly perform physical activities including sitting, standing, stooping, squatting, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, twisting, lifting, climbing, carrying, walking and kneeling
- safely handle equipment such as case cutter, utility knife, forklift with certification, pallet jack, compact baler, slicer, oven, fryer, knives, and mixers
- refrain from use or influence of illegal drugs, alcohol or impairing substances on the job
- not create direct health or safety threats to others

Job Duties
- Consistently demonstrate the Woods Supermarket D&E service and Hospitality 4 guidelines
- adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company standards
- notify management of guest or teammate accidents or injuries
- report all safety risks and illegal activity including robbery, theft or fraud
- be respectful, courteous, and helpful to other teammates
- stay current with all ads
- understand the store's layout and be able to take guests to products
- perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
- perform other miscellaneous tasks assigned by managers
- follow proper food handling and safety protocols
- ensure proper sanitation of department and equipment
- follow all technical manuals for processing products including label placement and packaging
- update displays, cases, and other guest-facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcased
- prep, store, rotate and stock merchandise
- prepare items per guest requests using proper equipment
- inform guests of department specific specials and make recommendations when asked
- provide guests with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
- use all equipment according to company guidelines
- adequately prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients in merchandise
- check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell by dates
- report product ordering and shipping discrepancies to department manager
- maintain awareness of inventory and stocking conditions and note discrepancies
- ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and logs are kept
- follow all food safety guidelines
- prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions
- measure, prepare and mix ingredients according to recipes using kitchen utensils and equipment
- decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies and other bakery items
