Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certification
  • one year cashiering experience
  • previous casino cage experience highly desirable
  • must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • must be able to obtain and maintain the required STGC Gaming License
  • will require a pre-employment and random drug screening
  • must have punctual and regular attendance
  • flexible to work weekends and holidays
  • able to work overtime
  • able to stand and walk for long periods
  • able to count and sort currency, coins, and chips accurately
  • able to maintain confidentiality and follow internal controls

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certification
  • previous work experience in a casino cage is highly desirable
  • one year cashiering experience required
  • must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • must have excellent customer service skills
  • must have basic math skills
  • must have basic computer skills
  • ability to operate 10 Key adding machine
  • ability to count and sort coins and currency in large amounts
  • ability to work under pressure with speed and accuracy
  • ability to deal effectively and professionally with the public and casino team members
  • knowledge of casino cash receipts and reporting requirements
  • ability to work harmoniously and professionally with team members and supervisors

Job Duties

  • Redeems gaming chips and processes coins for customers in courteous and timely fashion ensuring excellent guest service
  • validates and redeems slot machine vouchers
  • validates and settles slot machine jackpots and cancel credit pay outs
  • creates W2-G, 1042s, and processes W-9 tax forms for jackpot payouts
  • issues table chips filled and table credits to gaming tables
  • processes customer checks, cashing applications to determine check cashing limits
  • cashes customer's paper and E-checks, credit and/or debit card cash advances
  • responsible for making even exchanges of funds throughout shift at team member windows
  • accurately records customer redemptions on the Multiple Transaction Log and Negotiable Instrument Log to comply with Title 31 regulations
  • verifies all resort and Food & Beverage banks before issuing them to team members
  • verifies all slot banks before issuing them to Slot Floor team members
  • verifies all return banks and deposits
  • counts and verifies casino, Food & Beverage, and resort team member's tips
  • verifies and prepares currency and coins for Ticket Redemption Kiosks and cash dispensers
  • verifies and safeguards their assigned bankroll
  • uses currency counter and straps currency
  • uses coin counters to count and verify coins
  • sorts and stacks chips by denomination
  • sells and records tournament entries
  • redeems Free Play coupons for promotional and gaming chips
  • disburses tournament, Poker Bad Beat and promotional cash and chip payouts
  • issues and logs disbursement of slot ticket paper to Slot Floor Team Members
  • counts and records accurately all currency, coin, vouchers and chips
  • prepares appropriate paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion
  • balances cash drawer with receipts and resolves any variances
  • provides exemplary customer service
  • executes all Cage/Vault Department's internal controls
  • responsible for balancing up to $250K daily cash drawer
  • punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility
