Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • four years experience in cash handling and customer service field
  • two years supervisory experience
  • no felony, theft or stealing convictions
  • ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
  • ability to pass background investigation
  • ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license
  • knowledge and proficiency in intermediate mathematics
  • knowledge of computer systems
  • knowledge of management techniques
  • ability to work all shifts
  • skill in supervising staff
  • skill in cashier's cage operations and applicable laws
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • ability to establish and maintain professional relationships

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • four years experience in cash handling and customer service field
  • two years supervisory experience within cash handling or customer service
  • knowledge of intermediate mathematics
  • proficiency with computer systems including business software such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • management and supervisory skills
  • ability to work all shifts
  • effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • ability to build professional relationships with diverse individuals

Job Duties

  • Oversees cage operations on assigned shift
  • manages shift schedule to ensure adequate coverage
  • reviews cashiers schedules and completes supervisor schedules
  • authorizes PTO and sick leave requests
  • monitors duties of supervisors and cashiers including rolling shift for cage in Blackjack system, deposit, Kiosk and ATM status and balances
  • fills in as safety committee member
  • addresses overtime and employee paperwork discrepancies
  • updates event calendar for cage department notification
  • updates key control authorization for cage team members
  • coaches, teaches and mentors supervisors and cashiers for career advancement
  • addresses budgetary challenges and finds resolutions
  • disseminates information on departmental policy changes
  • ensures compliance with all required regulations
  • rotates shifts to maintain comprehensive understanding of cage operations
  • addresses team issues including morale, safety, training and staffing
  • reviews and approves weekly payroll
  • ensures balancing of all cash banks and records cash variances
  • tracks and maintains cage shortages and submits payroll deductions
  • conducts performance assessments and corrective actions
  • performs spot and end of month bank counts and reports
  • conducts monthly operational meetings
  • ensures seamless transition between shifts
  • oversees and monitors quality assurance
  • safeguards casino assets
  • monitors guest needs while supervising personnel
  • maintains excellent guest and team member relations
  • complies with federal cash reporting requirements
  • troubleshoots coin and currency counting equipment
  • communicates effectively with team members and managers
  • contributes to team effort and accomplishes related results
  • maintains dependable attendance record
  • performs other duties as required
