Job Requirements
- Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
- Demonstrated experience handling large sums of money accurately and quickly
- Ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of relevant cashier experience
Job Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- One or more years of recent related experience as a cashier, preferably in gaming
- Demonstrated knowledge of casino operations, gaming rules and regulations
- Effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Job Duties
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement
- Maintains all uniforms properly, including name tag and gaming license
- Provides cashier services to guests, including providing change for slot machines, cashing checks, preparing fills and jackpots, checking banks in and out, checking keys in and out, adding money to safe, preparing deposits, counting and bundling cash, balancing the bank
- Receives, secures, handles, counts, reconciles, and distributes large sums of money accurately and promptly
- Operates machines to count and wrap coins and cash
- Performs duties in compliance with Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Internal Control Procedures, internal policies, and gaming regulations
- Completes required casino forms for slot jackpot fill slips and follows re-filling procedures
- Assists in providing excellent customer service to guests
- Maintains alertness for all responsibilities and general awareness of casino operations
- Complies with security policies and informs supervisors of concerns
- Performs as backup for cage and cashiering staff as needed
- Performs other duties and special projects as directed
