Job Requirements
- must be 18 years of age or older
- no felony, theft, assault or stealing convictions
- successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen
- successfully pass a background investigation
- obtain and maintain a gaming license
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- ability to reach with hands and arms
- ability to talk or hear
- ability to walk frequently
- ability to occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- willingness to work evenings, graveyards, holidays, and/or weekends
- ability to work extended hours and irregular shifts
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- one year experience as a cashier or bank teller
- pass a basic bank teller/money handling test
- knowledge and proficiency in basic mathematics
- ability to carry out mathematical computations
- ability to become familiar with all cage functions
- ability to communicate, read, and write clearly in basic English
- ability to demonstrate outstanding guest service
- ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with diverse individuals
- skill in cashier’s cage operations and applicable cage operation laws
- skill in problem solving and sound decision-making
- skill in typing and 10-key operation
- skill in operating business computers and office machines including Word and Excel
Job Duties
- Provide excellent guest service to internal and external guests
- maintain excellent team member relations
- safeguard casino assets
- count and verify all cash, coin, chip transactions in the cage
- make change for guests and exchange coin, chip for cash
- issue banks, remake banks, replenish change for all departments
- perform fills for Table Games and pay out jackpots to electronic gaming devices
- perform redemption, vault/main bank, check cashing, credit card transactions, cage exchanges, and payouts
- service ATM and Kiosk machines including adding or decreasing currency
- comply with federal cash reporting requirements
- comply with internal controls, policies and procedures
- maintain accurate cage cash transmittal forms
- report currency counting equipment problems
- maintain confidentiality of all Casino operation data
- contribute to a team effort and accomplish related results
- demonstrate Desert Diamond Casino 'On Brand' attitude towards team members and guests at all times
- perform other duties as required
