Job Requirements
- Have an approved Food Handler's Card prior to first day of work
- Own kitchen knives and non-slip shoes
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand 100% of the time with exposure to heat, cold, and water
- Basic knowledge of cooking methods
- Ability to follow safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
- Ability to comprehend English
- Minimum 1.5 years of relevant prep cook experience

- Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
- Ability to comprehend, read, and communicate in English
- Knowledge of healthful, nutritional-based cuisine preferred
- Passion for food and cooking
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in customer service or high volume food service preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook daily entrees according to menu guidelines
- Maintain proper food temperatures during preparation and service
- Pre-prep food items as required
- Notify chef immediately when food or supplies are unavailable
- Keep food production areas clean, neat, and orderly
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate effectively with co-workers and kitchen management
