Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a food service or cafeteria role preferred
  • Ability to work day shifts Monday through Friday and occasional half-day Saturday
  • Willingness to adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Basic communication skills
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale systems or willingness to learn
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Friendly and professional demeanor

  • Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

Job Duties

  • Prepare daily food items and assist the Team Leader with tasks such as cutting produce, baking, frying, and setting up wells using proper safety and sanitation practices
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures
  • Assemble grab-and-go items such as parfaits, fruit cups, sandwiches, and salads
  • Keep the kitchen and cafeteria clean and organized, including running the dish machine, wiping down counters and coolers, sweeping, and mopping
  • Ensure adequate quantities of food are available for each break without excessive waste
  • Assist with putting away deliveries, managing waste, restocking supplies, and noting items that need to be reordered
  • Communicate with customers regarding orders, questions, and concerns
  • Serve customers during meal breaks in a courteous, efficient manner
  • Accept payment and make accurate change using the point-of-sale system
  • Count the register at the beginning and end of shift and provide reports and funds to the Accounting Department
