Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Greet and relate to all students, teachers, visitors, parents, school administrators, and employees in a polite and congenial manner
  • Promote a positive lunchroom environment for students, staff, and guests
  • Interact with students in an appropriate, fair, consistent, and professional manner
  • Work with school administrators to enforce student behavior expectations during lunch
  • Maintain order and acceptable noise levels in the cafeteria and serving lines
  • Assist with keeping the cafeteria neat and orderly by wiping tables, picking up trays and silverware, and cleaning spills
  • Help move classes in and out of the cafeteria as scheduled
  • Record arrival and departure times of various classes and other specified data
  • Assist students with needs such as opening milk cartons and thermos bottles
  • Complete job assignments efficiently without excessive supervision
  • Assist with supervision of students during outdoor recess or activity time at lunch
  • Perform other duties as assigned by school principal or designee
