Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to supervise children in accordance with school guidelines
- Capacity to work cooperatively and productively with coworkers and students
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds
- Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling and repetitive motions
- Effective communication skills including use of sensory skills
- Willingness to attend occasional school-related activities
- Availability to work varied hours as per the school schedule

Job Duties
- Greets and relates to all students, teachers, visitors, parents, school administrators, school board employees, and others in a polite and congenial manner
- Promotes a positive lunchroom environment for students, staff and guests
- Interacts with students appropriately at their developmental level, remaining fair, consistent and professional
- Works closely with school administrators to set and enforce behavior expectations during lunch
- Maintains order and acceptable noise levels in the cafeteria and serving lines
- Assists with upkeep tasks such as wiping tables, picking up trays and cleaning spills
- Aids in supervising student movement in and out of the cafeteria
- Maintains records of arrival/departure times of classes and additional required data
- Helps students with tasks like opening milk cartons and bottles
- Completes assignments efficiently with minimal supervision
- Assists with student supervision during outdoor recess or lunch activity
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the principal or designee
