Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Hold or obtain Certified Food Manager sanitation certificate
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate instructions
  • Working knowledge of kitchen equipment, recipe procedures, food safety and sanitation
  • Experience with computers
  • Two years of cafeteria manager experience or equivalent training

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare menu items accurately by following recipes
  • Maintain highest standards of food quality, production, sanitation, and safety
  • Supervise a team of up to 10 kitchen staff
  • Train kitchen staff in all kitchen duties
  • Ensure compliance with health department regulations
  • Communicate instructions for food preparation and safety
  • Manage kitchen operations efficiently
