Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or g.e.d.
  • two years experience in cafeteria management or relevant on the job training
  • certified food manager's sanitation certificate or ability to pass the certification test
  • ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing and verbally
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment, recipe procedures, food safety and sanitation standards
  • experience using computers

  • working knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety procedures
  • experience with computer systems

Job Duties

  • prepare menu items according to recipes and menu requirements
  • maintain high standards of food production, sanitation, and safety practices
  • supervise and manage up to 10 kitchen staff
  • train employees in all kitchen duties and safety protocols
  • ensure compliance with health department regulations
  • manage kitchen operations efficiently
  • maintain accurate records and reports related to food service operations
