Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years food service experience required
  • ServSafe certification required prior to starting
  • Ability to manage small team effectively
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work from 7AM to 2PM Monday to Friday
  • Attention to detail and adherence to sanitary standards
  • Basic computer literacy and cash register operation skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of food service experience
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and inventories
  • Basic math and cash handling skills

Job Duties

  • Manage 2 other kitchen employees
  • Prepare and serve quality food to students
  • Maintain proper documentation necessary for local and state Boards of Health
  • Maintain proper documentation of all food, material, and equipment inventory
  • Adhere to all sanitary standards in both work and attire
  • Adhere to school district menu as set by Food & Nutrition Director
  • Order all food, supplies, and materials needed for the program
  • Adhere to all standardized recipes
  • Assign kitchen personnel to various duties and move as needed
  • Run cash register, close cash drawer, provide total cash and meal count as required
  • Assist in daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment
