Job Requirements
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade
- Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License
- Letter of introduction

Job Qualifications
- Basic methods of preparing and serving foods in large quantities
- Knowledge of Type A lunch and breakfast program requirements
- Familiarity with standard food service appliances and equipment
- Understanding of lunch and breakfast program requirements
- Ability to perform arithmetical calculations and simple record keeping
- Ability to operate a variety of food service equipment
- Ability to collect money and make change accurately
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Job Duties
- Participate in the preparation, packaging and serving of foods, including preparation of sandwiches, salads, relishes, hot entrees and a variety of other foods
- Package foods following predetermined portion control standards
- Assist in maintaining the food service facility in a safe, clean and sanitary condition
- Assist in preparation of entrees, vegetables, salads, salad dressings and desserts
- May assist in requisitioning, receiving and storing of foodstuffs, supplies and materials
- Heat, set up, serve and sell hot and cold foods, salads, beverages, desserts and snacks to students and faculty
- Assist in maintaining inventory control and operational records
