Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in stewarding or culinary roles
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 70 lbs
  • Flexibility to work days, weekends, and holidays
  • US work authorization required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment

Job Qualifications

  • Prior stewarding or culinary experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work closely with other departments
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 70 lbs

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards per established menu from supervisor
  • Prepare set-up and salad bar items
  • Set-up hotline with food retrieved from kitchen
  • Maintain the cleanliness of cafeteria kitchen and seating areas
  • Restock condiments and paper goods as necessary
  • Date all food containers and rotate as per policies
  • Ensure all perishables are kept at proper temperatures
  • Check pars for shift use
  • Determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line set up
  • Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages
  • Return all food items not used to designated storage areas, covering and dating all perishables
  • Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems
  • Control food waste, loss, and usage per policies
