Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • possession of a valid food handlers health card
  • proof of MMR and Hepatitis B immunizations
  • IVP fingerprint clearance card
  • ability to lift and carry significant weights
  • ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
  • ability to adhere to safety and sanitation standards
  • willingness to attend training and meetings
  • capability to work under direct supervision with standardized procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • food handlers health card
  • proof of MMR and Hepatitis B immunizations

  • experience in child nutrition or food service preferred
  • ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to follow multi-step instructions
  • strong teamwork and communication skills
  • flexibility to handle various tasks and interruptions

Job Duties

  • Attend unit meetings, in-service training, and workshops
  • clean utensils, equipment, and food preparation areas to maintain sanitation
  • collect payments from students and staff for food items
  • serve food to meet nutritional requirements and requests
  • inspect food items and supplies for quantity, quality, and compliance
  • inventory food, condiments, and supplies for menu requirements
  • maintain and report equipment malfunctions
  • monitor kitchen and cafeteria safety and sanitation
  • order food and non-food items to maintain inventory
  • perform other nutritional services positions as needed
  • prepare food and beverages to meet meal requirements
  • stock food, condiments, and supplies
  • perform other related duties as assigned
