Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 4 years experience as a line cook in restaurant, hotel, club, healthcare, or contract cooking
- Knowledge of food codes and HACCP required
- Ability to perform medium work involving lifting up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately
- Maintain a customer-focused demeanor
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods
- Able to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associates degree preferred, preferably in Culinary
- Minimum 4 years experience in restaurant, hotel, or club as a line cook or minimum 4 years experience in healthcare or contract cooking
- Certification in ServSafe Food Protection Manager preferred
- Knowledge of food codes and HACCP guidelines
- Skilled in various food production methods including baking, frying, grilling, sauteing, and steaming
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and carry out oral and written instructions accurately
- Ability to interact warmly with customers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred
- Basic math skills
Job Duties
- Assist the Lead Line Production Cook/Team Leader with daily cafe station operations
- Perform productivity audits and identify training needs to ensure quality and productivity
- Prepare food for patients, visitors, and staff per daily menus and HACCP guidelines
- Prepare cafeteria orders according to recipes and special customer requests
- Assemble final plate presentation following department guidelines
- Interact and support patients, families, hospital staff, and food service team with cafeteria orders in a professional manner
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment according to department guidelines
