Job Requirements

  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk and crouch
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull lighter objects
  • Will be exposed to chemicals used in typical cleaning supplies
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • Must have valid state food handling certification
  • Preferred some cooking experience
  • Ability to handle money accurately
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook all food as requested by members and guests
  • Handle money and cashier food and drink orders
  • Follow all Touchstone safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Prepare ingredients such as chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
  • Adhere to recipe specifications
  • Ensure all food is labeled, dated, and rotated
  • Maintain awareness of menu and price changes
  • Maintain server awareness of food products and daily specials
  • Manage proper production levels of food
  • Read and understand tickets and menus
  • Present dishes attractively before serving
  • Keep kitchen sanitized and orderly
  • Store food and items properly
  • Check quality of ingredients
  • Monitor stock and place orders as needed
  • Transmit orders to bar and kitchen accurately
  • Serve food in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Coordinate timing with kitchen for timely food deliveries
  • Ensure proper set up and maintenance of kitchen service stations
  • Prepare service trays, bread plates, napkins, and condiments cleanly and neatly
