Job Requirements
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Must sign the Statement of Faith
- A high school diploma or equivalent education is required
- An associate degree is preferred
- Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred
- Must pass all required checks

- Proficiency in Windows-based computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Job Duties
- Train and supervise baristas to expertly prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, following established recipes and maintaining high-quality standards
- Communicate and train staff to be knowledgeable about the menu, including seasonal and specialty items, and be able to make recommendations to customers
- Train and supervise staff on how to accurately take and process customer orders, ensuring all orders are correct and meet customer expectations
- Instruct staff on how to handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment accurately and responsibly, following all cash-handling procedures
- Complete clerical assignments as directed by the Campus Dining Manager
- Assure staff are trained to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Monitor and delegate restocking of inventory as needed, including coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, ensuring everything is available for smooth operation
- Assist and lead cafe staff in all aspects of catering and beverage services for events held at the college, providing high-quality service to event attendees
- Manage and train staff to work collaboratively with other staff members, including kitchen and event staff, to ensure seamless service and operations
- Participate and ensure staff members are participating in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and stay current with industry trends and college policies
- Lead by example and ensure all staff, interns, and volunteers act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and mission of Charis Bible College
- Maintain and set the pace for cafe staff members to maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events, to keep the Kiosk running to standard, and to set a positive example for the team
- Oversee the preparation of food for purchase, such as cutting and packing food for sale through the Cafe as directed
- Come alongside and assist Charis Kitchen during a high volume of meal plan activities as required
- Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products and instructs staff members on the same
- Other duties as assigned
