Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year cashier experience
  • Preferred one year foodservice experience
  • Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment
  • Effective English communication skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Current Food Handler's Certification from Riverside County Public Health Department
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year cashier experience
  • Preferred experience in foodservice and high volume foodservice facility
  • Ability to safely operate kitchen and cafeteria equipment
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to perform simple math
  • Food Handler's Certification required
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare or assist with preparation of salads, fruits, hot and cold sandwiches, and dessert items
  • Set up and restock salad, soup, dessert, and sandwich bars
  • Ensure flavor, temperature, color, texture, and appearance of food meet quality standards
  • Operate cash register systems and prepare daily cash and charge reports
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and cafeteria areas
  • Assist with training new employees and dietetic students
  • Perform other duties as needed
