Job Requirements
- GED or high school diploma
- Able to lift up to 20 pounds without assistance
- Move quickly and efficiently within the cafe
- Ability to hear and communicate effectively in English
- Good vision including the ability to see close details
- Flexibility to bend and squat for cleaning and stocking tasks
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of operating a cash register or tablet device
- Full hand functionality for making drinks and using equipment
- Ability to speak clearly and project voice
- Maintain consistent attendance and adhere to company policies
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cafe or restaurant setting preferred but not required
- Passion for working with the public in a customer-facing capacity
- Experience in preparing ingredients and following recipes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Flexibility to attend quarterly team meetings or trainings
- Ability to maintain a minimum of 3 shifts per week
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and deliver exceptional service
- Handle phone inquiries and process orders accurately
- Maintain a calm and welcoming presence during busy periods
- Prepare food according to Cafe Matcha recipes and food handling protocols
- Maintain a clean prep space and report safety hazards to the manager
- Maintain equipment in clean and working order
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues through active listening and clear communication
- Inform management of operational inconsistencies and perform duties with a team focus
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment
- Clean dishes, prep ingredients, restock shelves, and assist with deliveries
- Follow all company procedures for food safety, sanitation, and hygiene
- Report safety hazards and employee accidents to management
- Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook
- Perform any other tasks assigned to meet company goals
