Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a managerial role within the food and beverage industry
- Must maintain current CA issued SERVSafe Manager Certificate
- Experience recruiting, hiring, and managing staff
- Ability to work full time, including variable hours such as early morning, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, which can fluctuate due to the needs of the business
- Able to multi-task and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, written and verbally
- Must be able to exercise independent judgment and decision-making skills
- Experience reviewing financial reports and meeting budgets
- Experience with POS touch screen, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and other computer skills.
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a managerial role within the food and beverage industry
- Specialty coffee a plus
- Experience managing a profitable café/restaurant preferred
- Must maintain current CA issued SERVSafe Manager Certificate

Job Duties
- Welcome and connect with every customer every time by being a brand ambassador with positivity and enthusiasm
- Hire, train, and schedule cafe staff
- Schedule quarterly meetings with store shift leads and all staff separately
- Attend and participate in weekly manager meetings and monthly cuppings
- Schedule weekly 1:1's with ASM and attend weekly 1:1's with Regional manager
- Communicate new product launch information and company initiatives/changes to all staff in a timely manner
- Manage company changes effectively and ensure all team members are aligned with company goals
- Create a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for customers
- Develop and implement operational procedures to ensure efficiency
- Monitor and analyze sales and financial reports
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Oversee food and beverage quality control
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive traffic and increase sales
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by maintaining a clean environment including the cleaning of the back of house, bar areas, and patios
- Contribute to store profitability by following Verve’s cash handling and cash register protocols
- Work at different stations in the café as needed
- Follow all Verve policies, procedures, and processes
