Job Requirements

- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain

- Familiarity with scheduling and payroll platforms preferred
Job Duties
- Achieve monthly and quarterly financial, product, and brand objectives at the cafe
- Lead and direct the team to set goals and execute initiatives in support of company objectives
- Identify opportunities to improve operations, team effectiveness, guest experience, and profitability and propose solutions
- Use data and reporting tools to analyze trends and inform decisions
- Manage store performance metrics including sales targets, customer satisfaction, labor costs, COGS, and shrink
- Manage monthly COGS through inventory management, purchasing, waste reduction, and data analysis
- Manage monthly labor targets through scheduling, deployment planning, and active floor participation
- Ensure cafe is adequately staffed and address staffing challenges including filling roles as needed
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of team members
- Develop internal talent, identify future leaders, and build bench strength
- Build strong relationships with team members and maintain open communication
- Lead the team through change by communicating expectations and holding accountability
- Develop and maintain operational procedures and checklists
- Lead day-to-day store operations with presence and accessibility
- Set and reinforce high standards of quality, speed of service, professionalism, and customer experience
- Coordinate routine equipment maintenance, preventative care, and timely repairs
- Minimize spoilage through inventory control and product rotation
- Plan proactively for holidays, events, and seasonal initiatives
- Partner with Cafe Director and cross-functional teams to engage community and build relationships
- Demonstrate financial curiosity and test ways to improve profitability and guest spend
- Maintain professionalism and perform all retail roles as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
