Job Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- some college preferred
- six months to one year of prior food and beverage experience in quick service or restaurant settings
- one year of leadership experience preferred
- current ServSafe or similar food handling certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment
Job Duties
- Support the proper execution of all processes, systems, and standards
- ensure all deliveries are received correctly and logged in the absence of the café manager
- maintain storage and rotation to minimize wastage
- manage the café team ensuring adherence to expected standards
- adhere to scheduled shifts with willingness to stay beyond when needed
- train café team members in full menu preparation and front of house staff in drink and ready-to-eat food preparation
- set a high standard and lead by example regarding punctuality, attendance, attitude, cleanliness, and hygiene
- maintain well-organized and easy-to-access café and storage areas
- handle guest concerns regarding the café in absence of the café manager
- participate in regular staff meetings and training
