Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in progressive culinary or kitchen management, depending on education
  • Proven passion for culinary excellence and exceeding guest expectations
  • Knowledge and proficiency of relevant systems, methods and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Ability and desire to work flexible schedules including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work ten hour-plus shifts and stand, sit, squat or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Run production and service according to established guidelines
  • Follow standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards
  • Complete and utilize daily production worksheets and waste logs
  • Taste completed meals to ensure quality
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation
  • Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas
  • Maintain inventory to stay within guidelines and ensure product availability
  • Follow company safety and sanitation policies and occurrence reporting
  • Participate in departmental meetings and staff development
  • Implement seasonal menu changes
