Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- experience in a kitchen preferred
- knowledge of health and safety standards as they relate to food preparation
- ability to use Point of Sale system with training provided
- ability to stand for extended periods walk bend and lift up to 50 pounds
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment
- flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or needs
- commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming school community

Job Duties
- customer service in a school cafe that serves up to 250 people a day
- use of Heartland Point of Sale program with training provided
- food preparation including cold bar prep of sandwiches and salads
- cleaning and maintaining a sanitary kitchen environment including washing dishes sanitizing surfaces sweeping and mopping
