Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 6+ months teaching or training persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities required
  • Prior experience in food service, restaurant management, or job coaching preferred
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities
  • Excellent communication and multitasking
  • POS (Square preferred), cash handling, and inventory control skills
  • Must have a valid TN, KY, or AL driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Clear background check
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Maintain a fast-paced workflow

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day cafe operations - from food service and scheduling to vendor coordination and supply ordering
  • Maintain compliance with all Tennessee Department of Health standards and safety requirements
  • Lead and coach cafe staff and interns to deliver top-notch customer service
  • Manage catering requests, pricing, and execution for events
  • Plan menu specials and collaborate with team members on creative, cost-effective options
  • Support and mentor individuals with disabilities through hands-on job coaching and skill development
  • Track progress, complete required state reports, and communicate with families or guardians
  • Work with our PR team to promote cafe specials, community events, and success stories
