Loveland Living Planet Aquarium (LLPA) is a renowned world-class aquarium that serves as a premier educational and recreational facility in Draper. Job Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • experience as a cook in a related field or environment
  • ServSafe or Food Safety Certification equivalent required
  • basic math and counting skills required
  • ability to lift up to 25lbs occasionally
  • willingness to accept change and new procedures
  • ability to work independently with limited supervision

Job Qualifications

  • experience as a cook in a related field or environment
  • TEAM/ TiPS certification preferred, will be trained upon hire as needed
  • ServSafe or Food Safety Certification equivalent required, will be trained and certified upon hire as needed
  • basic math and counting skills
  • requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 25lbs
  • exhibit and practice the highest level of guest satisfaction skills
  • willingness to accept change and new procedures
  • ability to coordinate multiple tasks, meet production/service time schedules, and adapt to necessary and unforeseen changes
  • ability to work independently with limited supervision

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
  • bakes, roasts, broils, steams, grills, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
  • arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
  • ensures compliance with food temps and documentation throughout event
  • cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils as per guidelines and policies
  • ensures clear and concise communication with stand leads, stand workers and cashiers
  • maintains excellent, friendly, and efficient customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
  • ensures security of company assets
  • accepts constructive feedback and provides ideas, concerns to and from leadership
