Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a kitchen environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge about preparation and production of grill foods and hot sandwiches
  • Ability to prepare quality food in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be flexible and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Customer interaction skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Prior kitchen experience of 2-3 years, high volume preferred
  • Prior banquet service experience preferred
  • Flexibility to work different stations
  • Quick learning agility
  • Culinary Arts Degree preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain a high level of quality and integrity of food confidence with customers
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Assist Chef with food ordering for the designated stations
  • Maintain food ordering sheet with needed food requests to ensure that product is on hand
  • Assist in putting away stock
  • Open kitchen and turn on equipment as required
  • Maintain sanitation of station, sanitation certification
  • Deliver catering orders
  • Receive catering orders in detail
  • Communicate needs to Cafe Staff accurately and timely
  • Input orders in catering software and track efficiently
  • Train for the ability to fill in at all other Cafe Stations as needed
  • Ability to follow a recipe to Chef’s/Team specification
  • Assist Chef in Kitchen preparation
  • Maintain a high level of quality and integrity of Food Confidence with Customers
  • Ability to work in a computer based Catering, recipe & inventory program, by inputting catering requests, recipes and invoices
  • Assist Chef in Kitchen in the proper practice of Preparation & Sanitation Techniques
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Lift 50 pounds
  • Work a flexible schedule as required by catering needs
  • Assist with other Cafe duties and stations as required
