Job Requirements
- Must be legal drinking age
- Completion of mixology or bartending training
- At least one year of related experience preferred
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately
- Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle customer complaints professionally
- Able to work Thursday through Saturday evenings
Job Qualifications
- Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training
- At least one year of related bartending or mixology experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of drink preparation and service
- Excellent interpersonal skills focused on customer service
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly or argumentative patrons
- Ability to use cash register software efficiently
Job Duties
- Contributes to departmental and property monthly goals for guest satisfaction scores by doing the job right the first time and giving exemplary service
- Greets customers with a warm and friendly tone, using their names whenever possible and learning their preferences
- Takes personal responsibility to rectify guest complaints to their satisfaction and follows through using customer service tools
- Promotes safe alcohol consumption by educating customers and explaining menu details
- Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks following established recipes
- Ensures customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area and ensures smooth operation of the bar
- Receives and processes customer payments
- Participates in inventory and orders bar supplies
- Assists with orienting new employees and instructs in equipment use and cleaning methods
- Promotes other dining venues within the property
- Refuses service to intoxicated or disruptive patrons using proper judgment
- Submits ideas for daily, holiday, and theme drink menus
- Maintains safety, security, and emergency procedure readiness at all times
- Wears uniforms and name tags during shifts
- Performs all other duties assigned
