Job Requirements
- No licensure or certification required
- Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital or hotel/restaurant food service environment
- Ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Basic knowledge of food preparation
- Willingness to attend barista training sessions
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Capable of self-directed work
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle food and operate equipment safely
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in environments with fumes, odors and potential kitchen hazards

Job Duties
- Greets all customers by providing quick, friendly and personal service
- Delivers legendary customer service by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer
- Sells and serves baked goods and food items to customers
- Processes transactions through the POS and provides change
- Follows cash handling procedures and cash register policies
- Maintains the highest level of standards for all product preparation
- Adheres to licensed recipes, specialty drinks, measurements and food presentation standards
- Provides top quality espresso shots for hot and cold beverages
- Maintains espresso equipment to manufacturer and sanitation standards
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume
- Communicates with staff and management to solve problems and improve service
- Contributes to cafe goals for increasing sales and improving profits
- Assists with new barista training by positively reinforcing performance
- Monitors and records temperatures of food items and equipment
- Reports food danger temperatures to manager
- Prepares inventory, requisitions daily supplies
- Replenishes food service areas
- Follows established operational policies to ensure food safety
- Performs sanitation duties continually
- Maintains proper production, safety and sanitation standards
- Complies with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point standard
