Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Proven experience in coffee preparation
- Strong knowledge of coffee bean varieties and brewing techniques
- Skilled in latte art and presentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Physically able to stand or walk for at least eight hours per shift
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Willingness to support team members and maintain a positive attitude
- Passion for coffee culture and customer service
- Ability to respond quickly to guest needs
- Working knowledge of employment laws
- Neat and well-groomed appearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Proven experience in coffee preparation, including espresso-based drinks, pour-over, French press, and other brewing methods
- Strong knowledge of coffee bean varieties, grind settings, extraction techniques, and milk texturing to create high-quality specialty beverages
- Familiarity with operating, cleaning, and maintaining espresso machines, grinders, and other cafe equipment
- Skilled in latte art and presentation to enhance the guest experience
- Understanding of cafe workflows, including order taking, beverage preparation, and timely service during peak periods
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and proper handling of ingredients and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, delivering friendly and personalized guest interactions
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues
- Physically able to stand or walk for a minimum of eight hours per shift, and capable of bending, reaching, lifting (up to 20 lbs), pushing, and pulling as required
- Quick to respond to operational challenges and guest needs with a calm and efficient approach
- Passion for coffee culture, continuous learning, and delivering exceptional customer service
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations
- Additional language ability preferred
- All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Specific department uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you by your supervisor
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages in accordance with Delano Cafe's recipes and brand standards
- Provide friendly, attentive, and personalized service to all guests, creating a welcoming and positive cafe experience
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly operated and maintained
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and restocking supplies
- Support team members by collaborating and communicating effectively to ensure smooth cafe operations during all shifts
- Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally, escalating any concerns to the Restaurant Manager as needed
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and food hygiene standards and policies
