Job Requirements
- No formal education required
- Typically requires 1 year of experience in hospital or hotel/restaurant food service environment
- Ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to perform responsibilities independently
- Ability to read and understand written and oral communication
- Knowledge of food safety and preparation
- Ability to operate food service equipment
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, squat, bend, twist and climb
- Willingness to work in environments with fumes, odors, dust, and potential hazards
- Compliance with safety regulations

- Thorough understanding of food preparation from training or food service course
- Attended barista training sessions to attain certification and recertification

Job Duties
- Greet customers with quick, friendly and personal service
- Deliver legendary customer service by putting customers first and connecting with them
- Sell and serve baked goods and food items
- Process transactions through POS and handle cash accurately
- Maintain product preparation standards including licensed recipes and specialty drink measurements
- Provide top quality espresso shots and maintain espresso equipment
- Maintain calm demeanor during high volume periods
- Communicate with staff and management to solve problems and improve quality and service
- Assist with new barista training with respectful coaching
- Monitor and record temperatures of food items and equipment
- Report food safety concerns to management
- Prepare inventory and requisition daily supplies
- Follow operational policies to ensure food safety and sanitation
- Perform continual sanitation duties
- Maintain production, safety and sanitation standards
- Comply with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point standard
