Job Requirements
- High school graduate or GED
- Minimum 1 year of customer service and cash handling experience preferred
- Must meet requirements of employment background check
- Must have/obtain Food Handlers Card
- Availability on weekdays, weekends, holidays, and some evenings for Special Events
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication
- Creative approaches to problems and unique scenarios
- Customer-service orientation
- Strong ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines and changing environments
- Experience working with children and families
- Comfortable in large groups of people
- Basic computer skills
- Basic mathematic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages desirable

Job Duties
- Welcome and acknowledge all visitors to the cafe
- Inform families on/enforce all Museum Safety Protocols
- Process credit card, cash, and other monetary transactions in a fast-paced environment
- Prepare coffees and teas with espresso machines, coffee brewers, and other machinery
- Meet Department Revenue Goals
- Promote all current sales and discounts
- Refresh cafe dining room by wiping tables, sweeping floors, and removing waste
- Communicate positively and professionally to co-workers at all levels of the organization
- Balance and manage daily cash drawers
- Stay up to date on museum policies, exhibits, and events
- Other duties as assigned
