Job Requirements

  • Must possess a strong understanding and knowledge of food and allergens
  • Must possess a strong understanding and knowledge of food and corporate kitchens
  • Maintain an exceptional personal record of punctuality and attendance
  • Must have and maintain an active management level food handler certification, such as ServSafe and/or other local state required certification
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word Document and Publisher)
  • Ability to work under pressure and adjust to diverse working environment
  • Food knowledge and understanding of industry terms and products
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 1+ years of industry related experience
  • Strong knowledge of food allergens and ingredients
  • Familiarity with corporate kitchen operations
  • Active management level food handler certification such as ServSafe or other local/state required certification
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and Publisher
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a diverse working environment
  • Understanding of food industry terms and products

Job Duties

  • Responsible for stocking the front of house salad bar and deli stations while maintaining safety and sanitation procedures
  • Create accurate daily food cards with proper ingredients and allergens
  • Review and edit the Front of House menus and the Digital Menu Board to ensure accuracy
  • Upload data entry of daily meal counts, logs (temperature, consumption, donation), and pastry counts
  • Reconcile daily invoices as needed
  • Ensure consistent quality on all prepared items
  • Follow proper rotation and storage of goods including proper labeling, stocking of ingredients and FIFO
  • Follow safety and sanitation procedures with OSHA and health department guidelines
  • Taste all food prepared to ensure flavor, freshness, and quality
  • Maintain a clean and organized station
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve the customer experience
  • Accommodate any special needs of the guests
  • Inspect dining room service stations for neatness and cleanliness
  • Restock food, condiment, utensils, plates, glasses, and napkins
  • Monitor the number of guests entering the café
  • May coordinate and direct daily tasks to ensure quality of production and positive workflow
  • Provide Management with consistent communication on operational tasks and team effectiveness
  • Perform other duties as assigned
