Job Requirements
- Must possess a strong understanding and knowledge of food and allergens
- Must possess a strong understanding and knowledge of food and corporate kitchens
- Maintain an exceptional personal record of punctuality and attendance
- Must have and maintain an active management level food handler certification such as ServSafe or other local state required certification
- Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and Publisher
- Ability to work under pressure and adjust to diverse working environment
- Food knowledge including understanding of industry terms and products
- Interpersonal and organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 1+ years of industry related experience
- Strong knowledge of food allergens and ingredients
- Familiarity with corporate kitchen operations
- Active management level food handler certification such as ServSafe or equivalent
- Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word, and Publisher
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adjust to a diverse working environment
- Good understanding of industry terms and products
Job Duties
- Stock the front of house salad bar and deli stations while maintaining safety and sanitation procedures in compliance with OSHA and health guidelines
- Receive and reconcile all vendor invoices as directed by the chef
- Create accurate daily food cards with proper ingredients and allergen information for breakfast and lunch
- Review and edit Front of House menus and the Digital Menu Board for spelling and punctuation accuracy
- Upload daily meal counts, logs, and pastry counts via data entry
- Reconcile daily invoices as needed
- Ensure consistent quality on all prepared items
- Follow proper rotation and storage of goods including labeling and FIFO
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures according to OSHA and health department guidelines
- Taste food to ensure flavor, freshness, and quality according to the Flagship Tasting Template
- Maintain a clean and organized station
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve the customer experience
- Accommodate any special needs of guests
- Inspect dining room service stations for neatness and cleanliness
- Restock food and condiment stations avoiding contamination
- Monitor the number of guests entering the cafe
- Stock and restock utensils, plates, glasses, and napkins in the service area
- Coordinate and direct daily tasks to ensure quality and positive staff workflow
- Provide management with consistent communication on operational tasks and team effectiveness
- Perform other duties as assigned
